“A wine that wasn’t made in 2013, as they didn’t feel they had the quality, the 2014 Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic, old school that gives up big, rich notes of dark fruits, chocolate, truffle and licorice. 2015 Tenute Rubino Susumaniello 'Oltremè' Salento Puglia $16.99/$13.09/$11.78

The wine is an expression of the land made of limestone, a land suited to viticulture for many centuries. The Oltremè of Tenute reveals its character, savory but well balanced. The tannins of the Oltremè are enveloping and soft; warm scents of the Mediterranean Sea are experienced. Tenute Rubino is one of the few that make 100% varietal wines from the Susumaniello grape. A blend of 35% Sauvignon Blanc, 35% Colombard, 20% Ugni-Blanc, and 10% Gros-Manseng from Gascogne that exemplifies summertime wine.
